Varhaug eyes GP2, set to test for DAMS

GP3 race winner Pål Varhaug will test for DAMS at the end of November, his manager has confirmed. The Norwegian is hoping to graduate to F1’s principal feeder category, the GP2 Series, in 2011 and he apparently already nearly has the funds to compete in the GP2 Asia Series.

“We are on our way and it’s not much we miss now until we have the GP2 Asia budget secured,” his manager, Jardar Varhaug said.

"Pål is going to test for the DAMS team in Abu Dhabi on November 24 and if we have the budget in place he will test for more than one day.”
