Müller re-signs with Jenzer for 2011

6 October 2010

It has been confirmed that Nico Müller will contest his second season of GP3 next year, having finished third overall for Jenzer Motorsport in this year’s inaugural campaign for the series. Remaining with the outfit, the Swiss driver now aims for the title in 2011.

After progressing from Formula Renault with Jenzer as well as stints in Italian Formula Renault 2.0 and the Formula Renault 2.0 West European Cup, Müller was comfortably the quickest driver for the team this season, finishing the championship in the top three and ten places ahead of his closest team-mate.

The GP3 statistics for the 18-year-old read two race wins, one pole position, two fastest laps and two podium finishes - accumulating to a total of 12 points finishes.

“It was also an emotional decision,” he explained on Thursday.

“I know everybody in the team very well and they've worked hard to achieve what we've achieved so far. They're all extremely motivated to go for the title and in the end that's what makes the difference!”
