Trummer joins MW Adren
1 December 2010 – The MW Arden GP3 Team has announced that former Swiss Formula Renault Vice Champion and 2010 GP3 Series front runner Simon Trummer will be part of their three-car line up in the F1 support series in 2011.
The 21-year-old, who ran for MW Arden in the post-season tests and who was quickest overall at Jerez, is now looking forward to joining the squad proper.
“I am very happy that I could sign this contract. It’s a privilege for me to drive for MW Arden next season," he said.
"At the GP3 testing in Estoril and Jerez the cooperation between me and the team already functioned very well. The team‘s support is very professional and its attention on every detail is very good.
“I am very motivated to give my best on and off the circuits and hope to do a great job for the team.”
MW Arden Team Manager, Julian Rouse, meanwhile believes the Swiss youngster will be a good addition to the team: “Everyone at MW Arden is delighted to have Simon on our GP3 programme,” Rouse continued.
“He is a young very talented driver who is very dedicated and works very well with everyone in the team.
“We were very impressed with his professionalism and his speed at all six of the post season test days and we are all confident he can compete right at the front of the GP3 Championship in 2011 with us.”
