Mixed Donington feelings for Honda
18 April 2011 – The Honda Racing team notched up its second victory of the British Touring Car Championship season on Sunday, with Matt Neal winning his second consecutive race in Round 4 at Donington Park. However, Team Dynamics partner Gordon Shedden was less fortunate.
“We were pushing hard all weekend and we‘ve got the results,” Neal began. “This championship is all about being consistent and grabbing the wins when you can and that is what we have done. I was roughed up a bit in the third race of the weekend but I’ve collected 32 points over the weekend, which is good.”
Relegated to the back of the Race 2 grid and then disqualified from Race 3, Shedden was unable to make the most of his equipment.
“I just can’t buy any luck at the moment,” the Scot commented. “I’ve been in the wrong place at the wrong time and had the worst of it, but I’m convinced we can start scoring big points from the next round onwards. We just need things to go our way.”
