Neal hits out at turbo boost limit

28 April 2011

Matt Neal has expressed his clear criticism of TOCA’s decision to limit the turbo boost of NGTC-specification cars. The decision from the BTCC's governing body comes after complaints – namely from Champion Jason Plato - at Donington Park from those running with normally aspirated powerplants.

“The organisers have changed the rules to peg back our two-litre turbocharged engine, which seems to me like it is a rule that has singled us out to penalise us more than anyone else,” Honda’s Neal, title winner of 2005 and 2006, said on Thursday.

“I just can’t understand it. It appears that we have been held back because we had been doing such good job so far this season, which isn’t fair.”
