Post-race penalty for Jordan
1 May 2011 – Andrew Jordan received a post-race time penalty from the stewards at Thruxton on Sunday after his overtaking manoeuvre on Gordon Shedden during Race 2 was deemed to be illegal. The Eurotech Racing has now been dropped to the final spot on the podium, meaning Honda Racing achieve another 1-2 finish.
The extra ballast Shedden was carrying in the second race of the day allowed for Neal and Jordan to attack his Honda Civic, seeing the 32-year-old drop two places down the order from his starting position. However, the stewards argued that Jordan’s pass at the Club chicane was completed by cutting the circuit.
