Shedden remains fastest at Knockhill
3 September 2011 – Gordon Shedden maintained his authority over his BTCC rivals at Knockhill this afternoon, setting the pace once again around the 2.092-km (1.300-mi) circuit. The Honda Racing driver led a persistent Tom Chilton for the second session in a row, while 24-year-old Frank Wrathall finished a surprise third for the Dynojet squad.
Airwaves Racing driver Mat Jackson was able to join the battle at the front with his improved pace this afternoon, edging ahead of Matt Neal who is battle through his injury pains very well so far. Daniel Welch backed up his strong performance in first practice to claim sixth, while Tom Onslow-Cole and James Nash completed the top eight.
Rob Collard ended ninth quickest for the WSR squad after a healthy total of 25 laps, outpacing tenth place man Andrew Jordan by 0.249 seconds. Silverline Chevrolet duo Jason Plato and Alex MacDowall featured a long way back on the timing screens once again, with the duo unable to place their cars higher than 11th and 12th.
