Tom Onslow-Cole helps to form a trio of West Surrey Racing drivers as he returns to the outfit for this year’s British Touring Car season. Then 19, the Kingston-born driver made his debut with the team in 2007, celebrating a maiden victory at Snetterton.
Onslow-Cole will partner the WSR line-up of 2011, with Rob Collard and Nick Foster being retained by Dick Bennetts' team. At the same time, eBay Motors has become title sponsor of the squad which is now running engines prepared by Neil Brown Engineering – the same company which supplies Champions Honda.
“I’m excited to be joining eBay Motors for 2012 and to again be part of the WSR team with such a history of success,” says Onslow-Cole. “This season I am looking to challenge for regular podiums as we certainly have the car to be at the front of the grid.
“I am counting down the days until the new season and can’t wait to get started at Brands Hatch’s opening round on 1 April.”
To date, Onslow-Cole has won six BTCC races, scored four qualifying pole positions and seven fastest race laps. His best championship finishing position was his fourth overall with Arena Motorsport’s Team Aon in 2010.
