Rowland quickest on day two of test
6 November 2013 – Britain’s Oliver Rowland was quickest on Wednesday on day two of the post-season GP3 Series test in Abu Dhabi.
The rookie, who has been competing in the Formula Renault 2.0 Northern European Cup this year and who was driving for Marussia Manor Racing, was fastest in both the morning and afternoon sessions. His best lap was a 1 minute 55.600 seconds.
Patric Niederhauser meanwhile ended the day second overall, just 0.037 seconds slower, the Swiss driver running with ART Grand Prix after spending day one on track with Jenzer Motorsport.
Tuesday pace setter, Dean Stoneman was next up followed by Robert Visoiu, Marvin Kirchhofer, Roman de Beer, Alex Fontana and Jimmy Eriksson in positions 4 through to 8.
The test now concludes on Thursday.
