4 July 2014 – Lucas di Grassi topped the timesheets on the second day of Formula E testing at Donington Park.
The Abt driver, at the wheel of two cars after Daniel Abt's arrival at Silverstone for his GP2 duties, recorded a 1:31.973 to lead e.dams rival and opening day pace-setter Sébastien Buemi by a tenth of a second.
Di Grassi's best lap was 3.5 seconds quicker than Thursday's pace, after the removal of a temporary chicane.
Venturi's Nick Heidfeld, Andretti's Scott Speed and Mahindra's Bruno Senna ensured that the top five places were locked out by ex-Formula 1 drivers.
Antonio García wound up sixth for China Racing, edging out the remaining e.dams machine of Nicholas Prost.
Sam Bird placed eighth for Virgin Racing, while China Racing's Jérôme d'Ambrosio, who had set the pace in the morning session, and Jarno Trulli rounded out the top 10.
With 17 of the 19 drivers covered by five-and-a-half seconds, the order was completed by Dragon Racing team-mates Oriol Servià and Mike Conway, more than 10 seconds adrift of di Grassi.
