Buemi back on top in Formula E testing

9 July 2014 – Sébastien Buemi returned to the top of the order on the third day of Formula E testing at Donington.
The e.dams driver clocked a 1:31.910 as the teams continued their preparations for the inaugural season, six hundredths of a second quicker than Audi Sport ABT's Lucas di Grassi lapped on the second test day last week.
Jérôme d'Ambrosio, still yet to confirm a race seat but testing with the China Racing squad, delivered a late improvement to finish the day second fastest, placing his car just ahead of the aforementioned di Grassi.
Venturi's Stéphane Sarrazin, who completed the most laps (65), and Virgin Racing's Jaime Alguersuari ensured that five different outfits occupied the top five places, while Buemi's team-mate, Nicolas Prost, took sixth.
Testing will continue at Donington Park on Thursday, with one further day scheduled on August 19.
