Tung completes China Racing line-up
21 August 2014 – Ho-Pin Tung has completed China Racing's driver line-up for the opening Formula E campaign.
Although born in the Netherlands, 31-year-old Tung competes with a Chinese licence and became the first driver from the nation to test a Formula 1 car back in 2003, when he was given an outing by the Williams team.
He has raced in the Asian Le Mans Series, the Asian Carerra Cup, A1GP, GP2, Superleague and IndyCar.
Tung will drive alongside Nelson Piquet Jr., who confirmed his place at the squad earlier on Thursday.
"It's great to be one of the drivers with China Racing, especially at the opening round in Beijing," said Tung.
"I tested the Formula E car a few months ago and it's really a challenge to get used to the electric racing car."
China Racing also confirmed that Spain's Antonio García will act as the team's reserve driver in 2014/15.
Just one seat remains on the grid, with Andretti Autosport yet to announce who will partner Franck Montagny.
