Tereshchenko to sit out Spa weekend after crash
23 August 2014 – New Trident signing Konstantin Tereshchenko will miss this weekend's GP3 round at Spa-Francorchamps after he suffered an enormous accident during Friday's practice session.
Tereshchenko lost control under braking for the Bus Stop chicane and spun sideways, before his car was launched high into the air when he struck the kerb on the inside of the corner.
His Trident subsequently rolled across the tarmac run-off before he suffered another impact with the tyre barriers when the car, on fire, came to a rest.
Tereshchenko was able to extract himself from his stricken machine but will not participate in the remainder of the weekend's actions on doctor's orders.
