Chile, Brazil, Italy join 2017-18 FE roster
19 June 2017 – The FIA has released the calendar for 2017/18 Formula E Championship, with new events to be held in Chile, Brazil and Italy.
The electric single-seater category will make visits to Santiago, São Paulo and Rome, while Buenos Aires has been dropped.
Monaco, as expected, does not feature, due to the historic Grand Prix taking place on even-numbered years.
The championship will feature 14 races, with double-headers in Hong Kong (in December) and Montréal (next July) bookending the campaign.
As per 2016/17, the penultimate round of the season in New York will also feature two races over the course of a weekend.
Brazil's appearance remains subject to confirmation, while a venue needs to be determined for the German round; New York's date is also to be finalised.
An event, pencilled in for 9 June, remains TBA, with no host city yet listed.
"It's exciting news to welcome a number of new host cities on the Formula E calendar, as well as seeing existing locations build on the success of previous events," said Formula E CEO Alejandro Agag.
"Formula E is continuing to expand the calendar and the number of cities in key markets, in addition to the growing list of partners and manufacturers joining the electric revolution."
