Edoardo Mortara will be competing in the upcoming DTM season with Audi, following his decision to change categories in 2011. The 24-year-old has made the switch on the back of clinching the Formula 3 Euroseries, and will be looking for more success when entering his debut campaign within Germany’s pinnacle of touring car racing.
Head of Audi Motorsport Dr. Wolfgang Ullrich commented on the new additions to his team, with Mortara being one of the drivers chosen to race for the company in the series. He is confident that the trio will make a positive impact on the squad, with all three making their DTM debuts at the opening race at Hockenheim on May 1.
"All three made an excellent impression during our driver sighting tests in December,” Ullrich stated. “I’m convinced that they will be a genuine reinforcement to our driver squad and that we are in a good position for the 2011 season." Read more »
