McLaren protégé de Vries gets DTM test
25 November 2016 – McLaren protégé Nyck de Vries has been handed the opportunity to test Audi's DTM car at Jerez next week.
De Vries, 21, has been affiliated with McLaren for several years and this season stepped up to the GP3 Series with ART Grand Prix.
De Vries has been shaded by team-mates Charles Leclerc and Alexander Albon and occupies sixth in the standings ahead of this weekend's finale, with one victory to his name this season.
De Vries will sample the Audi RS 5 alongside sportscar racers Loïc Duval, Kelvin van der Linde and Dion von Moltke at the Spanish venue.
Regular DTM drivers René Rast and Jamie Green will be on hand to provide assistance to the quartet.
