Heikki Kovalainen recovered from Renault's mechanical problems of yesterday to finish fastest on the team's last day of testing at Valencia, southern Spain. The Finnish test driver completed 125 laps - his best in 1m10.443s to finish 0.1s ahead of Honda test driver Anthony Davidson.
In clear and sunny conditions Davidson covered the most distance of any driver - 146 laps. He finished 0.3s ahead of Kimi Raikkonen in the 2006 McLaren. McLaren test driver Pedro de la Rosa was also in action, finishing fourth fastest drove the team's hybrid winter testing car and finished fourth quickest.
The only other team in action today was Williams - Rosberg and Webber finishing fifth and sixth fastest and covering 67 and 87 laps respectively.
Testing continues tomorrow with Toyota and Red Bull set to join in the action.
