On Tuesday Midland driver Tiago Monteiro and test driver Fabrizio Del Monte began testing at Silverstone. In the morning Del Monte was behind the wheel, and in the afternoon Monteiro took over.
Del Monte busied himself shaking down the team's test chassis and he conducted a series of control systems and aero tests. MF1 Racing planned a tyre programme for Monteiro in the afternoon but the rain disrupted his programme. The team decided to work on the wet setup which could be useful ahead of the unpredictable climate in Canada.
Monteiro commented on his day of testing: "I was unfortunate with the weather today, that's for sure! It's too bad the rain couldn't wait until after my session was over, but that's OK. We managed to make a couple of outings in the dry before running a short control systems programme in the wet, so the day was still reasonably productive."
