Although Toyota may not be continuing in Formula One next year, its drivers will be attending the Toyota Motor Sport Festival at the Fuji Speedway this weekend. With the venue, owned by the Japanese marque, annually hosting the event, this year's will be the last PR commitment for Toyota from Jarno Trulli and Kamui Kobayashi.
With his strong performances in Brazil and Abu Dhabi previously looking likely to have confirmed a full-time seat with Toyota for 2010, Kobayashi now appears to be left out in the open after the company announced its exit from F1 just three days after the season-ending race.
Trulli, on the other hand, is hotly tipped for a drive at Lotus; incidentally, the move would confirm the Italian as the second Toyota driver to have transferred to a debutant team for 2010 after Timo Glock's signing at Manor was made public on Tuesday.
For the show at Fuji this weekend, Trulli and Kobayashi will be joined by former Williams pilot Kazuki Nakajima in demonstrating F1 cars to the crowds at the Speedway. Whereas Trulli will be driving a Toyota F1 car for the final time, Nakajima will be doing quite the opposite as he steps into the cockpit after being part of the Toyota Young Drivers' Programme.
