Eric Boullier is excited about the new season as Renault aims to put its difficult 2009 behind it and concentrate on the new decade. A striking new livery was revealed in Valencia on Sunday afternoon after former title sponsor ING pulled the plug on its association with the squad following the 'Crashgate' race-fixing scandal last year.
With the new colours complementing a new management structure and driver line-up, Boullier has also signed Jérôme D'Ambrosio and Ho-Pin Tung as the team's test drivers.
"The start of a new Formula 1 season is always a time of great anticipation," the French Team Principal commented after the yellow and black-liveried machine was unveiled. "For Renault, this is particularly true of the 2010 season as we begin a new era for the team; with a new structure in place - new drivers and new colours - there's a lot to be excited about and a lot to look forward to.
"Setting objectives is never easy but it's clear that we have high ambitions for 2010 as we aim to take Renault back to the front of the grid; however, this is not going to happen overnight and our ambition is to make this journey one step at a time."
The team - now owned by Gerald Lopez's Genii Capital - endured its worst season last year since re-entering the sport in 2002, finishing eighth in the Constructors' Championship. "The R30 should be a competitive, strong and reliable car and we've opted for an aggressive development strategy," Boullier continued.
"The factories in Enstone (UK) and Viry (France) have been working flat-out during the long winter months to ensure that we begin the new season in the best shape possible - these factories have been successful in the past and they haven't forgotten how to win in Formula 1."
