Massa: F10 much easier to drive

2 February 2010

Felipe Massa drove the first laps at the wheel Ferrari's new F10 in Valencia on Monday. The Brazilian driver completed 102 circulations of the Ricardo Tormo circuit without any major problems on his way to the day's fastest time. After a full day on-track, the Paulista expressed his positive feelings over the car's behaviour.

"I am happy to be back in the car after watching it on TV for such a long time," commented Felipe, who missed last year's final seven races after fracturing his skull in Hungary.

"It's been a positive day today and the car behaved very well. We managed to complete our scheduled programme and even managed to complete a few more laps than we'd planned.

"The car behaved very well. The F10 is much easier to drive than last year's car; last year, we strugled with the balance at the start of the year, but this year I must say it's very easy to find the setup and balance for the car.

"I'm glad we have a good first impression of the F10 but obviously there is still a long way to go before we start racing again in Bahrain. We will need to work hard and we know how things can quickly change in Formula 1."
