Like everybody in the Jerez paddock, Sebastian Vettel was hoping for dry weather on Thursday but failed to see the dream become a reality. The German did enjoy a problem-free day car wise, however, as he prepares to hand the Red Bull RB6 to team-mate Mark Webber for the remaining two days of the current test in Spain.
With Barrichello's Williams heading the Thursday timesheets from the Renault of Petrov, Vettel made the top three on a best lap of 1:28.162.
"Generally, the feeling with the car is good," the 2009 runner-up confirmed. "The weather has been pretty bad over the last couple of days, which meant we couldn't do a lot of our planned testing, although it's been the same for everyone.
"It's a shame, as this is one of our three pre-season tests and last week the weather was quite bad also - it seems that Spain is not so happy to have us here!"
