Red Bull happy after catching up

1 March 2010

Following a Saturday which saw Sebastian Vettel lose significant amounts of running time due to a fuel pump change, Red Bull Racing was in no mood to relax in Barcelona on Sunday; running both drivers, following the earlier problems, the German and team-mate Mark Webber racked up a total of 135 laps between them.

With Red Bull's final sum for the day being one lap more than pace-setter Lewis Hamilton's McLaren, the Milton Keynes team confirmed that it had completed the most circulations as it rushed to complete its Sunday programme as well as filling in for the lost Saturday time.

"Losing a bit of time yesterday, we didn't do everything we wanted to with Seb so we got pretty much a day and half's testing into today, which is why we've done 137 laps," explained Ian Morgan, Head of Race Engineering at Red Bull. "It's been busy but we've got a lot done.

"This final test was good for us. With our limited testing in the dry at the two Jerez tests, the four days of almost completely dry weather here meant that we got back on course and we've made a lot of progress this week. It's been a very good test."
