Mercedes GP Team Principal Ross Brawn made the unique journey to Buckingham Palace on Wednesday in order to be awarded with his Order of the British Empire (OBE) award following his team's success last year.
With the Brackley squad now owned by Mercedes having been saved by Brawn last year following the sudden pullout of previous owner Honda at the end of 2008, the Englishman made history by taking it to both World Championship titles in its maiden and eventually sole season, an unprecedented achievement.
In British capital London with wife Jean and daughters Helen Young and Amy Smith, Ross arrived at Buckingham Palace at 10am before being guided up the Grand Staircase, through the Picture Gallery and into the Green Drawing Room.
Brawn was presented with his OBE by Queen Elizabeth II before departing the palace through the East Gallery and Inner Quadrangle.
