Christian Horner has no intention to protest against FIA's decision to give declare McLaren's rear wing completely legal. McLaren's rear wing is unique in that it connects with the engine cover, but Red Bull and Ferrari questioned the FIA whether or not the rear wing is legal.
Speaking about the FIA decision Red Bull team principal Christian Horner was quoted by Autosport as saying: "It is similar to (last year's) double diffuser issue, in that teams will pursue different variants of that wing between now and the end of the season. I think that it's unlikely that we would protest it, so we would look at developing our own version.
But making major changes to the team's car will be impossible Horner realises. "You cannot change a homologated chassis so you would have to go about it in a different manner. But as it's deemed legal... engineers are creative people. I'm sure they will find another way of doing it."
