Prost joins Bahrain race stewards
12 March 2010 – 4-time World Champion Alain Prost will line up as one of the FIA's official race stewards for the season-opening Bahrain Grand Prix this weekend. The appointment of the former driver and team owner is one of the first changes to the steward setup since Jean Todt took presidency of Formula 1 governing body the FIA last October.
With Todt having taken the FIA reigns from Max Mosley, Prost is appointed in the first steward line-up of the year and will contribute to which penalties should be applied following any suspect incidents on-track.
The Frenchman will be joined at Race Control by Paul Gutjahr (President of the FIA Hill Climb Commission), Enzo Spano (the FIA's representive for Venezuela) and Mazen Al-Hilli (President of Bahrain Circuit Racing Club).
