The start of the European season marks a number of new partnerships between teams and sponsors, the latest of which is between Scuderia Toro Rosso and Money Service Group, a Liechtenstein-based finances company whose dragon logo will be appearing on the cars and race overalls of Sébastien Buemi and Jaime Alguersuari.
The new deal between the two parties also means that logos appear on team clothing and other Toro Rosso vehicles, with Money Service Group including four subsidiary companies.
'Its involvement with Scuderia Toro Rosso is another step aimed at increasing awareness of the Money Service Group brand, following on from its sponsorship of last winter's Alpine Ski World Cup and the ski jumping FIS Team Tour,' reads a Thursday afternoon press release at the Circuit de Catalunya.
"Scuderia Toro Rosso is very pleased to welcome Money Service Group as a new sponsor and we look forward to working with them," commented Team Principal Franz Tost. "This is a very encouraging development for us, as currently there are not so many new sponsors coming into Formula 1 and we are proud of the fact that this company, which is new to our sport, has chosen Scuderia Toro Rosso."
"Formula 1 is a crowd puller and Scuderia Toro Rosso is a young and highly motivated team, striving to be a world class player, so there are many parallels with the aims of Money Service Group," added Michael Seidl, founder of the group. "We are very pleased to be entering into this partnership and hope that, along with Scuderia Toro Rosso, we will achieve our ambitious goals."
