Christian Klien admits that is he is surprised to see that his name is still being linked with Stefan GP, having been out of contact with the Serbian outfit for almost four months. The Austrian driver made his return to the track on a Formula 1 weekend in Spain, taking the reigns in Karun Chandhok's Hispania car for first free practice.
With Belgrade-based Stefan hoping for a place on the 2011 grid, Klien remains on a list of possible 2010 drivers, found on the squad's website. However, the 27-year-old - who last raced in F1 for Red Bull at the 2006 Italian Grand Prix - admits that he was not expecting to still be linked with Stefan for 2011.
"I saw it on the website, I was quite surprised," he explained to F1Pulse.com in Monaco at the weekend.
"There were some talks with the team during the winter, when they were trying to get an entry in for this season, but after January there were no more talks with the team.
"I was quite surprised that it is still on their website - there are a lot of drivers mentioned there. I can't really say much about it. The last contact we had was in January, that's all I can say."
