'Unfinished business' for Hamilton in Valencia

21 June 2010

Lewis Hamilton looks forward to this weekend's European Grand Prix after narrowly missing out to Rubens Barrichello's Brawn last year. Having led from pole position in 2009, the Englishman's fall to second was assisted by a slow pit-stop.

Following on from double 1-2 results in Istanbul and Montreal, McLaren has reason to be confident as two Woking-built cars headed the grid in Valencia last year before Hamilton and Heikki Kovalainen raced to second and fourth places respectively.

"I'm really looking forward to racing in Valencia," said Hamilton. "I had a great, attacking race there last year - but I've finished second for the past two seasons, so I feel like I have some unfinished business!"

In the inaugural race on the Spanish streets in 2008, Lewis finished behind the Ferrari of Felipe Massa, whose victory - for a short time - was hanging in the balance following a post-race investigation involving a pit lane incident with Adrian Sutil.

"The grid is so tight, there were battles all through the field in Montreal last week, so I think we could have a close and exciting race this year," Hamilton concluded.
