Hispania Racing test driver Christian Klien returns to the cockpit in Spain on Friday morning as he replaces Karun Chandhok for the first free practice session ahead of Sunday’s European Grand Prix.
Klien made his first Friday appearance in Spain earlier this season, driving in Barcelona, and the Austrian joins Force India’s Paul di Resta on-track today as the Scot subs for Adrian Sutil.
Also returning this weekend are Burger King logos, as the fast food chain completes the second half of its 2-race Sauber sponsorship after first linking up with the Hinwil squad in Barcelona.
On top of that, Red Bull Racing are experimenting with an f-duct for the first time since Barcelona and Virgin’s Lucas di Grassi is running with a special Brazil-painted helmet to show his support for the country in the ongoing football World Cup.
