Senna returning to winning Silverstone

5 July 2010

Just as British Formula 1 fans are excited to see the Senna name back in action at Silverstone this weekend, Bruno is thrilled to be returning to Northamptonshire – scene of a GP2 victory for himself two years ago as well as Ayrton’s win in the 1988 British Grand Prix.

Following his uncle’s tragic accident in 1994, Bruno was taken out of karting by his family but has since enjoyed several successes in varying formulae at the home of British motorsport.

“Racing on an historic circuit like Silverstone is always very special,” the Hispania driver said.

“I have good memories at Silverstone as I won there in GP2 in 2008 and also finished on podium in Formula 3. Now, coming back to the circuit in a Formula 1 car feels just great.

“The new Arena sector is quite interesting and some new fast corners have been created until you come back to the old part of track again. I am looking forward to the British Grand Prix and after Valencia, where we were able to finish the race with two cars again, we want to perform as well as we can.”
