Red Bull Racing announced last month that it extended Mark Webber's contract for another season. Team boss Christian Horner also admits he is hoping to extend Sebastian Vettel's contract and extend his contract for a number of seasons.
According to German media Vettel was offered a Red Bull contract until the end of the 2015 Formula 1 season. Speaking about Sebastian Vettel team boss Christian Horner was quoted by by Crash.net as saying:
“I know that Mercedes would have Sebastian, Ferrari too. Even McLaren would not be averse (to signing him), and that's why we want to have him for the long term. Sebastian is the future - he is going to be around, winning, for many years.”
Sebastian Vettel is currently third in the Formula 1 championship, 12 points behind championship leader Lewis Hamilton.
