Hispania Racing has confirmed that reserve driver Sakon Yamamoto will only remain in action for this weekend's British Grand Prix, with regular pilot Bruno Senna then returning from the Hockenheim onwards.
With word in the Silverstone paddock having begun to emerge on Thursday afternoon that Senna may not be racing this weekend, the news was half-confirmed by the team to the BBC on the night.
However, it was not until the second free practice session on Friday afternoon that an official team press release confirmed that the Japanese driver will only be racing this weekend.
Hearsay states that a failed payment from a sponsor may be the reason for Senna's brief absence.
