Maggots kerbs modified on Friday evening

9 July 2010

Following various complaints from drivers following their track inspections at Silverstone on Thursday, officials have taken to the circuit in Northamptonshire in order to modified raised rumble strips for this year’s race.

Although Silverstone in general has taken on significant changes prior to the 2010 event, organisers have also introduced other updates on older parts of the circuit, including the raised kerbing on the apexes of Maggots, Vale and Club corners.

The kerbs in question – which are now being lowered - are located on the two apexes of high-speed, left-right bend Maggots, which the Formula 1 cars approach at speeds in the region of 185 miles per hour.
