Chandhok becomes ambassador for Indian circuit builders

Hispania Racing has announced a new sponsorship deal for driver Karun Chandhok, who has agreed to a partnership with Jaypee Sports International (JPSI), meaning the car will now carry the company’s logo.

Part of the Jaypee Group, JPSI is in the process of constructing the circuit planned to host the inaugeral Indian Grand Prix next year and has now confirmed home-grown Chandhok, who hails from Chennai, as a Brand Ambassador.

“We are very pleased to have a new company sponsoring us and supporting Formula 1,” commented Hispania team owner José Ramón Carabante, “and the fact that India is expected to host a Formula 1 race next year also makes us happy.

“We want to welcome Jaypee Sports International to our team and hope we work positively together.”
