Vettel and Webber quizzed over wing favouritism

10 July 2010

Red Bull Racing drivers and front row men Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber were questioned regarding the possible favouritism of the Silverstone pole-sitter after the the German was able to use a newer front wing than the Australian in qualifying.

With Vettel's wing having broken in a scary moment during the final practice session this morning, the German was handed the second new version, meaning Webber used the previous specification for the grid-deciding session.

“Everyone like different things,” Vettel responded to journalists in the post-session press conference. “I'm happy I was able to go back out with the same type of wing.”

“I'd rather be third than second because of the dirty side on the grid,” Webber began, before referring to the front wing questions.

“I think the team is happy with the result today."
