Fernando Alonso is sure that Ferrari have made performance gains since the European Grand Prix, despite being eighth tenths of a second off Sebastian Vettel's pole position lap time at Silverstone.
Having been left furious by the Lewis Hamilton Safety Car pass in Spain, Alonso lies fifth in the Drivers' Championship although his fears of Red Bull domination were confirmed on Saturday.
“We're improved the car since Valencia and we continue to improve and get more comfortable every time,” the third-place driver said in the post-qualifying press conference.
“We feel better. In Valencia we couldn't score the points we wanted to but hopefully that will be better tomorrow.”
