Sébastien Buemi has denied confirming his 2011 Toro Rosso contract, despite Team Principal Franz Tost having announced otherwise on Thursday. Instead, the Swiss driver has explained that certain points are yet to be agreed upon.
Buemi joined Toro Rosso, and in the process made his Formula 1 debut, at the start of last season and seemingly had signed for a third campaign yesterday.
“I believe our drivers will be well prepared for 2011, which is why they are both confirmed for next year,” Tost commented in a Thursday press release, although his older driver’s latest comments very much contradict the statement.
“I have not yet signed,” Buemi revealed to Switzerland’s Blick. “On top of that, there are missing some details, so the transfer market remains open for me.”
