Senna looking forward to return

21 July 2010

Bruno Senna will be back in action at the German Grand Prix this weekend, having been replaced by Hispania Racing test driver Sakon Yamamoto under rather mysterious circumstances at Silverstone.

With the Japanese now substituting Karun Chandhok, Hockenheim marks HRT’s second successive race for a driver line-up modification although Senna – who finished third to winner Chandhok in GP2 two years ago - is excited about taking to the track at a venue he knows well from lower formulae.

“I really like the track; there are plenty of high-speed straights and some overtaking opportunities, like at Turns 2 and 6, so I believe we can be competitive with the other new teams and I’m looking forward to a good battle,” the Paulista began.

“Downforce is not so important here as it is at Silverstone or Barcelona, for example, but there will be plenty of focus on good traction out of the corners and getting the brake balance right. The stadium section in particular is crucial; it can make or break your lap and is so easy to get wrong if you’re not precise enough.”
