Renault has announced that it is opening its factory doors at Enstone in order to allow fans the unique opportunity of watching the Hungarian Grand Prix from the heart of where two of the cars within have been built.
The Hungarian race will be staged next weekend, just a week after Germany, on Sunday 1 August. As well as watching the Grand Prix itself amongst what has been described as ‘a 5-star hospitality experience’, those in attendance will also be able to witness the design and build process of the luminous R30s driven by Robert Kubica and Vitaly Petrov.
The day will start with a continental breakfast and, if one wishes, an opportunity to read the weekend’s newspapers. Following a gathering with an industry expert for a review of qualifying, a live audio link-up will then allow fans to communicate with senior members of the team live from the Hungaroring.
The special weekend will also include a wheel-changing competition and chances to play the team’s Formula 1 simulator game. The Heritage and Communications Centre will be open for lunch before champagne is handed out for uninterrupted coverage of the race in a state-of-the-art auditorium.
The full ‘Race Day’ experience costs £175 +VAT per person, with more information on this plus August tours of the factory available on the Renault F1 website
