Hispania Racing is considering a partnership with Toyota, it has been reported by Italian website 442race.com. However, when contacted by GPUpdate.net on Thursday morning, the Spanish team has explained that no such deal is official at present.
The reported link would involve HRT making use of Toyota’s Cologne facilities, with much of the factory having been available for use since the Japanese manufacturer pulled out of the sport at the end of last season.
“At the moment we are not saying anything about that,” an Hispania team spokesperson explained to GPUpdate.net. “If at any moment we do have something about it, we will publish a press release.”
