Sébastien Buemi has regrettably blamed Toro Rosso team-mate Jaime Alguersuari for his first-lap retirement from the German Grand Prix.
Although the Spaniard started ahead of the Swiss for the first time since China, the order had been reversed by the time the duo arrived at the hairpin on Lap 1, with Buemi’s rear wing being removed and both having to pit for damage.
“I was in a really good position - because I had a really good start - but I was just braking into Turn 6, side-by-side with one of the Williams, but then I think my team-mate was on the top of my car into the corner,” Buemi explained to BBC Sport.
“I think he braked a little bit late.”
