Senna excited about Budapest

28 July 2010

Bruno Senna returns to Hungary with the knowledge that he twice finished on the podium at the Hungaroring in GP2 two years ago. Then with iSport, now with Hispania, the Brazilian hopes to retain the Spanish team’s improved pace from Germany.

Pleased with a raw performance gain at Hockenheim, Bruno heads to the Hungaroring with reserve Sakon Yamamoto – again replacing Karun Chandhok – alongside for the second successive race.

“I’m really looking forward to Hungary because the atmosphere is great and the crowd always enjoys the show,” said Senna. “It’s a high-downforce circuit and very demanding for the driver and the car because of the bumpy, long-radius corners.

“Opportunities for overtaking are more limited than at other circuits, so qualifying will be crucial this weekend.

"It will be a very difficult test but we hope to do better than expected and match the competitive pace we found in Germany.”
