Lucas di Grassi looks forward to the Hungarian Grand Prix at the Hungaroring this weekend, a track the Brazilian knows well from GP2. The Virgin Racing man is also energised over the possible threat of showers this weekend.
Should showers affect the weekend, the wet conditions would confirm the second event in a row which has received rain.
“As usual, I have done a lot of work in the simulator to prepare for the Hungaroring,” said Lucas. “It’s a pretty physical track which I know well from racing in GP2 but it’s good fun to drive.
"It is usually pretty hot here but the weather is looking a bit changeable this week, which is unusual for Budapest.
“In the German Grand Prix I was running second only to Kovalainen (of the new teams) until a suspension problem forced me to retire but the underlying positive is that the car is performing well and our pace is good, so I think I can be optimistic for a good race here this weekend and hopefully finish ahead of Lotus.”
