Horner stresses: Our wings are legal

30 July 2010

Red Bull Team Principal Christian Horner has reiterated that the cars of Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber do abide with the current technical regulations, despite word in Hungary on flexing front wings.

Moveable car parts are strictly forbidden in Formula 1 although Horner has emphasised that his cars do continue to pass official FIA tests.

Paddock hearsay has been generated of late by various shots of the cars on-track.

“Photos are very dangerous, you don’t know things such as how much fuel the car is running, but the wing has passed the FIA tests,” he told BBC Sport.

“The front wing is behaving in a way which the guys have been able to design and it complies with the regulations. But it’s not just one thing - all of these things work in tandem and we’re a bit surprised about the talk.”
