Schumacher receives 10-place grid drop for Spa

1 August 2010

Michael Schumacher has been given a 10-place grid penalty ahead of the Belgian Grand Prix for his blocking move on Rubens Barrichello in Budapest.

With the Williams driving having caught the slower Mercedes after a late-race pit-stop, Schumacher squeezed his former Ferrari team-mate towards the pit wall before the Williams finally made it through at Turn 1.

However, following an investigation by FIA race stewards including former driver Derek Warwick, the 7-time World Champion will start five rows further back from where he qualifies at Spa on the final weekend of the month.
