Willi Weber, Manager of Michael Schumacher and Nico Hülkenberg, has scarcely avoided a jail term, it is being reported in the German press.
Having also managed Ralf Schumacher before the Toyota driver left Formula 1 at the end of 2007, Weber is alleged to have recently been back in German courts after being sentenced to probation and a large fine in a case involving a Schumacher merchandising company in 2008.
This week, the Suddeutsche newspaper plus news agency DPA are reporting that a further 2-year probation period has been confirmed for Weber, who was previously involved in a matter involving the fraudulent insolvency of ‘Pole Position Marketing’.
It is believed that the German must now donate some 360,000 euros (just under 300,000 pounds) to charitable organisations.
