Nicolas Todt hopes to secure seat for Maldonado in 2011

7 August 2010

Driver manager Nicolas Todt has said he hopes to secure his driver Pastor Maldonado a seat in Formula 1 next year. With five victories under his belt so far this GP2 season Todt has confirmed there has been talks with several teams in Formula 1 about a seat in 2011.

“Pastor is enjoying a great season in GP2,” Nicolas Todt told 422Race. “He is well on the pace and racing for a great team. He’s currently in his best form and I think he has proved he is ready to enter Formula 1.

“He is still young but when he gets the opportunity to compete in Formula 1 he will grab it with both hands. We hope to get him in Formula 1 as soon as possible.”

Pastor Maldonado currently leads the GP2 championship with 77 points.
