Brain surgery successful for Stuck
23 August 2010 – Former Formula 1 driver Hans-Joachim Stuck has undergone successful brain surgery after suffering an accident in July. The German now continues to recover at home.
Set to celebrate his 60th birthday on forthcoming New Year’s Day, Stuck joined F1 with March in 1974 before leaving the sport five years later following a top five finish with ATS at Watkins Glen.
However, having fallen ill whilst competing in the DTM-supporting Scirocco Cup at the Nürburgring, we are pleased to report that Hans is now recuperating following last week's complicated surgery to clear a blood clot.
