Mansell returns to stewards’ office

1992 World Champion Nigel Mansell will be acting as an FIA race steward for the second time in this year as he takes to Race Control at Spa this weekend.

Under Formula 1 governing body the FIA’s new-for-2010 initiative, a current or former racing driver has been one of four official adjudicators at every race so far.

Mansell, who first assisted for his home Grand Prix at Silverstone, becomes the third man to take on the role twice after compatriots Johnny Herbert and Derek Warwick.
